**If interested in attending, email us at awbnonprofit@gmail.com for flight information so we can coordinate with you to be on the same flights as the main group. You are welcome to find flights that are more convenient for you, as long as they land in the Guatemala airport on the same day we land and arrive near our landing time. The airport is 4 hours away from the town we will be staying in, which means it is most cost effective and safe to arrive to the resort area together. We will rent a bus to accommodate the size of our group, and needing to travel to the hotel at a time different from the group will require you to pay for that expense as well as organize and secure it yourself.
To ensure your spot for the trip, please make sure to submit your registration form (for EACH trip attendee) and trip deposit before the trip deadline.

How We Decide What Projects We Do:
At AWB, we want our actions to create abundance in the communities we serve. To ensure this, we have found that employing Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to each situation we are faced with helps us keep our goals in focus. Depending on the situation or needs of our friends in Guatemala, we consider which stage of the Hierarchy of Needs we are trying to accomplish. The goal is to eventually aid each community we serve in reaching the Self Actualization level which can involve them lifting their own communities up, but each village is at a different point on the scale and we are trying to meet them where they are at. This often means our projects and impact can have a slow burn at times, and that we need to keep up on the relationships with those communities to continue to grow abundance. We are simply not a “one and done” organization!
