Bracelets at Maria’s

Maria is one of our closest friends in El Dormido. She works at Hotel Maya Jade and keeps everything there running smoothly, and she is also known as Tia Maria (Aunt Maria) in the community because she’s always helping take care of everyone around her. We love her and love any time we get to spend with her and her family! She makes beautiful bracelets and taught our group how to make them. Her husband catches crabs for a living and often shows us the traps he’s made to capture them as well as whatever fresh crabs he caught for the day. Her younger sons (she has FIVE total!) love playing marbles and bringing us different animals they have close by. Everyone always loves this outing on our trips!
